How to Make Burlap Tree Inspired Homemade Jam Jars
One of the easiest do it yourself gifts to make is homemade jam. You can make it year round, it’s budget friendly, and more often then not you may have all of the ingredients in your fridge. When I was putting this idea together for the holidays, I was in the middle of making blueberry jam, and I really wanted to decorate the jars with items I already had. I was inspired by the burlap wrapped small burlap wrapped trees on my front porch, and the idea ended up coming to life! I love making thoughtful gifts for the holidays, and this is a great budget friendly and sustainable way to do so.
What You Need
– Ribbon
– Twine
– Hot Glue

How to Make the Mini Burlap Trees
Take your tree snip and pull any excess off of the bottom to form your tree base. Use the hot glue gun to wrap the twine around the base. Snip any excess twine and let cool. Fresh evergreen Tree Branches from your yard or you can use fake so they will last longer.
How to Assemble the Jar
Now that you have prepared your mini burlap Christmas trees it’s time to assemble the homemade jam jars.
- Start by tightening the lid onto the cooled jam.
- Tie a bow around the lip of the jar but keep a small amount of space between the bow and the glass so you can slide the burlap tree in between.
- Slide the bow behind the bow and position it to where you want it to sit, then tighten the bow so the tree remains in the position
- Adjust each side of the ribbon to your liking and so that they’re even. Now, you’re ready to gift them!
I love how simple these burlap tree homemade jam jars are. They’re perfect for the holidays, easy to make, and incorporate natural elements and of course fresh jam made from the heart. The perfect homemade gift.
