Style tights with a Mini Dress

Mini dresses of all kinds look amazing with tights. A form-fitting mini, a sweater dress (styled below), chic slip dresses and more! When choosing which dress to wear with tights, keep in mind that depending on how fitted the dress is and the materials, it may have the tendency to ride up. To prevent this from happening, try this hack! Spray a thin layer of hairspray on your tights to ensure there is an extra hold between the two fabrics. Or simply, try a looser style such as an A-line, or more of a relaxed fitting skirt so you don’t have to worry about it.

Style tights with Heels

I love styling black opaque tights with delicate and sophisticated heels. It creates a classic and minimalistic look, as well as elongates your legs. I used to be terrified of wearing tights with open-toed heels, but when it’s done right it works really well. It’s all about the tights, colors, and shoe combination.

Style tights with Shorts

Black leather shorts, wool shorts or linen silk shorts are perfect for this look! I decided to go all black with this monochromatic look, and styled these tights by adding a pointed toe over the knee boot.

Wearing tights provides warmth, style, elegance and coverage. The key thing to remember is balancing the tights and the shoe effortlessly, creating an overall sophisticated look. To achieve this, make sure the seam of the toe is not showing on an open-toed shoe, opt for a sophisticated and simple heel, and choose an opaque, lace or sheer tight (my favorites) for a classic look. They can all be worn gorgeously with an open or closed-toed heel!
