SIMPLE WAYS TO ELEVATE YOUR OUTFIT
A great outfit comes down to the little details. Elevating your outfit will lead you to feeling more confident, and inspire you to look into your wardrobe with intention. Sometimes, it can be hard to get creative and figure out how to take your outfit to the next level while in the moment. I’ve created a list of little details that’ll elevate your outfit any time of year.
Steam your clothing
Have you ever seen someone walking by with wrinkled clothing? It stands out immediately and takes away from the rest of the outfit. It’s a distraction. Steaming takes about 5 minutes and can instantly elevate your outfit
Create Balance
Do this by choosing pieces of clothing that balance each other out. For example, a wide leg pant and a figure hugging top.
Add Classic Elements
Choose elegant pieces such as a gold/silver earrings, necklace and ring, a belt to accentuate your waistline and a classic bag.
Always hide your bra straps
There are many ways to do this now, from strapless bras, to silicone nipple cover (my favorite), to boob tape and more! There is an option for everyone and ways to work around them.
Take care of your wardrobe
Wash your pieces according to the instructions and store them in order to keep them in pristine condition. This pertains to all aspects of your wardrobe! From clothing, to accessories to shoes. For example, keep your white trainers crisp and your heels in great condition. Taking care of your wardrobe will ensure you don’t have any pilling, marks or scuffs! I use a clothing rack to create extra space to hang my clothes and a hanging purse organizer.
Add or Take Away
Add layers, or take away aspects of your clothing. What I mean by this is you can add a blazer, or cuff the sleeves for a completely different look. Another creative way to work with your clothing is to tuck in half of a shirt in, the entire shirt or wear your shirt a different way!
Tailor your clothing when necessary
Doing so will ensure that you’re clothing fit comfortable, and are customized to fit your exact measurements. It makes a huge difference when something fits you perfectly.
Invest in high – quality pieces of clothing
Elevate your outfit by investing in high-quality clothing rather than fast fashion. Overtime you will start to understand your personal style, what you love and make conscious decisions into what you are adding to your wardrobe rather than impulsively buying. Wear a Tonal Outfit
A tonal outfit is an outfit created by putting together different hues of a colors. It’s naturally appealing to the eye, and looks very polished and put together. It also is a great way to dive into the clothes that you already have and get creative with styling.
Keep your clothing lint & pill free!
I have at least one lint roller in my car at all times. There are also mini versions available so you can easily travel with them, or toss one in your tote bag! As for clothing that is pilling check out these gadgets!
