The Beauty of Embracing Every Season & Nature’s Lessons
One of the reasons why I love the Northeast so much is because of the magic of the Seasons every year. Time is fleeting. As each season passes, nature simply reminds us to experience the Season directly in front of us. Fruits and vegetables that are to be harvested at certain times. Flowers to bloom for the pollinators. Our bodies adjusting to the heat of the Summer, yet transitioning to colder weather as Autumn approaches. The magic of embracing every season for the lessons they have to teach us.
Autumn

The season of letting go and harvest. Natures way of slowly transitioning into cooler, crisp evenings, the sun sets earlier, plants go into dormancy, the last harvest takes place and the leaves slowly begin to change into a bright colorful foliage for one last colorful moment before they fall off for Winter. Change is inevitable and it’s also beautiful. The animals start together their harvests for Winter, they begin to make their nests and slowly prepare for the cold months ahead.
Winter

The season and rest and reflection. The snow quietly falls amongst the frozen ground, nights are quiet as nature has gone dormant, and quiet. Red cardinals make appearances on the evergreen branches, It’s a time to look within, slow down, reflect and rest. Cozy season, eating nourishing and fortifying meals. While the Winter’s often seem long, it teaches us patience and the art of slowing down.
Spring

The season of new beginnings. New life emerges as the sunshine beams onto the melting snow. Nature is slowly becoming active again. The birds sing loudly in the afternoon warmth. New flowers start blooming, getting more and more abundant each year, there are new buds on the branches, new ideas come to life, and nature always returns again ensuring hope and renewal.
Summer

The season of flourishing. Nature is blooming in full force, the smell of fresh cut grass, warm air with the windows down, the garden is abundant, crisp and nutritious fresh vegetables are pulled from the ground, fresh berries picked from the bushes. Night life is vibrant from active wildlife, to late night crickets and glowing fire flies. People gather together celebrating the longer days and hot Summer nights.
While every season of nature occurs continuously year after year, the leaves are never the exact same color, different flowers bloom in wildflower fields, and new mama birds make nests in spots once home to another. There is something truly magical about it. It is a reminder that in every chapter and in every season, there are new beginnings and beautiful moments ahead. Let go of expectations and allow yourself to make the most out of every season in your life and within nature. The beauty of each cycle reminds us to slow down and embrace the present moment. Take in what nature has to teach us, and live with intention and presence
